Overview
RigReady LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the RigIQ mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding that data.
We built RigIQ to be a trusted safety reference tool. We have no interest in monetizing your data — it exists solely to make the App work for you.
Who May Use This App
RigIQ is intended for use by adults only. You must be at least 18 years of age to download, create an account, or use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate that account and delete associated data promptly.
Data You Provide
RigIQ collects only the data you choose to enter:
- Vehicle information (make, model, year, weight ratings, tire specifications)
- Weight readings you enter from certified scales
- Tire pressure readings
- Pre-trip checklist responses and trip history
- Account email address (if you create an account)
Camera and Photos
The placard scanner feature requests camera access to photograph your RV's door placard or tow vehicle sticker. Photos are transmitted to our AI service (Anthropic Claude) solely to extract safety specification data visible in the image. Photos are not stored by RigIQ or Anthropic after the scan is complete. You retain full ownership of any images you capture.
Camera access is entirely optional. You can use all other features without granting camera permission.
How Your Data Is Stored
All data you enter is stored locally on your device. If you create a RigIQ account, your data is also securely stored in our cloud database (Supabase) for backup and cross-device sync. Your cloud data is protected by row-level security — no other user or RigIQ employee can read your data.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party
- We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes
- We do not share your data with data brokers
- We do not track your location
- We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles
- We do not use your vehicle data or placard photos for any purpose other than providing the App's features to you
Third-Party Services
RigIQ uses the following third-party services to deliver its features:
- Supabase — cloud database and authentication (account holders only)
- Anthropic Claude — AI features including spec lookup and placard scanning. Queries are processed anonymously and are not linked to your identity.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
- Resend — transactional email delivery (account-related emails only)
- Google Maps — trip history map display
Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy and terms of service. We select providers that maintain high standards of data security and privacy.
Notification of Changes to Terms and Privacy Policy
When we make material changes to this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service, we will:
- Update the version number and "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Display a notice within the App on your next launch requiring your acknowledgment before continued use
Your continued use of the App after acknowledging the updated terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must discontinue use of the App.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time directly within the App — go to the Account tab, scroll to Danger Zone, and tap Delete Account. You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@rigready.app from the address associated with your account. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources from which it was collected, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA. No opt-out is required, but you may contact us to confirm this at any time.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the App's services.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@rigready.app. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days as required by law.
Shine the Light (California Civil Code § 1798.83)
California residents may request information about whether we disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. California residents with questions about this practice may contact us at privacy@rigready.app.
COPPA — Children's Online Privacy
RigIQ is intended exclusively for adults 18 years of age and older. The App is not directed at, marketed to, or designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through our App, please contact us immediately at privacy@rigready.app and we will delete that information promptly in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security in our cloud database, and secure authentication. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy through the in-app notification system, by email (if you have an account), and by updating the version number and date above. Minor changes that do not affect your rights may be made without specific notification.
